Elaine joined GAV in 2014 after serving 30 years as a Police Officer in the Metropolitan Police. Throughout her service she was a uniformed officer on front line duties having worked in a variety of roles to include:- Chaperoning, investigating and supporting victims of Sexual Offences, Officer Safety Instruction, Neighbourhood policing, Schools Liaison and working with victims of Domestic Abuse. Prior to retiring Elaine was a Police Cadet Instructor, working with young people from 13-18 years from diverse backgrounds providing an insight into the police service.
Since retiring, in addition to working for GAV, Elaine is an exam invigilator at a local school and has used her Advanced driving skills from the police to drive for the players and staff at Wimbledon Tennis Championships. In her spare time Elaine plays netball for the Police and a local team. Elaine has been a rugby coach for a local team and volunteered as a helper and reader at her children’s schools.
