Mick has over 30 years experience working in the field of conflict management, personal safety and security. Engaged in both the public and private sector providing security and safety management to high profile individuals, public servants and the general public. Having worked UK wide and globally in this sector he has benefited from engagement with a wide variety of agencies gaining a wealth of experience in this field and has particular expertise in close quarter self defence and personal protection. This includes theoretical and practical advice in relation to the threat from knives and weapons. Mick has used his experience to develop and deliver training to security practitioners, teams and individuals and has provided security advice, training and operational expertise to major UK events including the 2012 Olympics in London. He has a Teaching Diploma from Christchurch Canterbury University and looks to use his knowledge and expertise to help educate youngsters about the ‘dangers’ of the modern world.
