Criminal Exploitation: County Lines
Session: 240 minutes (or 60 minute sessions)
OVERVIEW
We explore issues relating to social media, sexting, online grooming, gangs, serious youth violence and conversations relating to sex and sexuality.
This can be delivered in a 240 minute workshop or split into separate 60 minute workshops under the headings - Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE), Social Media, Protection, Gangs and Serious Youth Violence.
OBJECTIVES

To identify what gangs are and how they differ from peer groups

Examine how gangs are organised, how they make money and how they recruit

To raise awareness about the impact of gang dynamics within the school setting, emphasising how gang promotion is often earnt through violence and drug dealing

To demonstrate how gangs and gang members 'brand' themselves both online and off-line, exploring 'rap-trap' videos and the growing concerns relating to 'county lines' drug dealing
